Lovely room, but leisure pool small (though thankfully not a silly shape so at least we were able to swim some lengths). Male changing room suprisingly skanky. Our own bedroom was superb, with huge bathroom and free standing bath. Nicest hotel room we've stayed in for a very long time. But the worst thing of all -- we had to QUEUE for breakfast on Sunday morning as if we were at Butlins! Not what one expects from a hotel of this standard.

I´ve been at the hotel two times and had two different rooms. The first time we got an excellent room with fridge, iron etc. The other time we got a small room in an old part of the hotel, on the upper floor and the bed was broken.

Very good service, staff helpful, especially concierge. Only significant fault would be lack of free wi-fi anywhere which I would normally expect in a hotel of this type. Car parking must be pre-booked and wasn't cheap, but convenient and secure carpark and saved too much negotiation of Edinburgh's current roadworks.

This is truly the nicest hotel I have stayed in. The staff are fantastic, extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are fabulous, a fantastic size, have everything you need and couldnt fault the cleanliness of them. The location is brilliant for getting to all the main sights and shopping Edinburgh has to offer. I would and have already gladly recommended this hotel to other family members and friends. I look forward to coming back to stay here the next time I am in Edinburgh.

Excellent friendly staff ready to help with anything. Very comfortable room kept to a high standard. All Edinburgh's attractions within easy reach. The only negative was the restaurant, a very limited choice, poor quality and expensive for what you get.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in walking distance of Princes Street, the main shopping Street in the City Centre. I would happily stay here again.

Great location, lovely Hotel. The rooms were very clean. The only downfall with the hotel was the fact that there were Christmas parties on in the hotel on the saturday night and we could hear the music/disco. would be better to put guests not going to parties in rooms furthest away from functions rooms.

We stayed in this hotel for almost a week during a trip to Ediburgh for a wedding. It was within walking distance of the sites we wanted to see and many restaurants. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. The only improvements I would suggest are brighter reading lamps on the bedside tables and drawers (not just a closet) for clothes. I would happily stay in this hotel again.

we had a lovely stay, rooms were comfortable and clean. Food delicious but the service was a little slow and between four of us we never quite got what we ordered...but the staff were very pleasant and tried hard to get it right! Would stay again

Central to all the sites in Edinburgh this hotel is perfect for a weekend break as no car is required. Staff were generally helpful and friendly. The room was a good size and very comfortable without the frills.

Good service, friendly, helpful staff. One bad note - bathroom had mould on the tiles and was quite smelly.

An exceptional experience on my first visit to Edinburgh in 40 years. I would unreservedly recommend to anyone who sets store by quality and attentiveness from the moment one steps out of the taxi.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, each night was perfect. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, air con in the room was a added bonus. The staff were very helpful throughout our stay, especially when needing a late night pharmacy. Location was awesome with nearby bars and restaurants. The only little glitch was the temperature of the shower was very temperamental, although this may have only been our room. But overall we would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely stay there again!

The room we were given was over the alley way that contained 8 trash bins, several of them glass recycling bins. The pubs in front of them recycled at all hours of the day even until 11:30 at night. Also we were next to the cleaning elevator so we heard them starting at 8 or so in the morning. In other words a very noisy room. We made the reservation several months ahead of time and expected a better room.
