ok so its not the ritz.room could have been cleaner but after a long day at alton towers the beds were clean the food was cheap hot and good the breakfast was very good and staff polite and friendly.if u pay cheap prices then you have to expect a cut in quality somewhere.we has a family room en suite-it suited us fine.we only wanted to sleep in it-want cheap then give it a go.railway directly outside....a few trains while we were awke but we slept soundly thro the night.we had jacket potatoe with cheese and beans the crown burger and bangers mash and beans,with 2 drinks each it came to £20-we coulnt eat all the beakfast-too much!

the decor and furnishings were dated and in need of updating, there were a number of minor faults in my room which i pointed out to the mangement and were seen to straight away. If you are looking for cheap accommodation this hotel is o.k. It is in the centre of a town don't expect views! It was quiet. Breakfast was substantial.
