Cromwell Crown Hotel London
4 out of 5

A short but very convenient stay in a clean and comfortable hotel. There was renovation work going on in the foyer, which some people would find unacceptable, but it just means that whoever stays there soon will have an even better hotel to stay in. For the price this is in an amazing location.

For what we paid, it was great! The building is currently being refurbished bit by bit, which only added to the quirky side of it (you got to 'walk through walls' where a pane of glass would be, instead of the door. Our room was great - two-levelled. Beds were very good. Lovely bunch of people running it - really helpful and sweet.

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Staff fine, and sheets clean, but otherwise the room was grotty and the breakfast a joke. Not worth the money. Next time we'll stay out of london and commute in.

The hotel requires grand facelift - repainting of walls and ceilings to at least make it look clean and decent and upgrade most of the facilities to an acceptable human standard. The bed frames and carpets should be changed or washed at least. The hotel's location is very strategic and it ca still remain as a budget hotel but cleanliness and functionality of facilities should be given considerations.

Couckroaches, dirty, sticky floor in the bathroom, broken mirrors and windows isnt nice! The whole hotel was dirty and we didn feel safe in the room. The breakfast wasn´t good, broken glasses with a weak juice. Bowls with cornflakes on every table and a toast. That is something I could be without!

Considering the price I paid, it was a very reasonable hotel. A bit run down, and the beds in most of the rooms are not very good. Old matrasses etc....

I got a deal with this hotel and it was well worth the £7.50 I paid. At £32, the full price, I would have felt ripped off. The breakfast was a weak, small glass of oragne squash, cornflakes and toast. The room was clean but so tatty that you were afraid to touch anything incase it crumbled away. On the up side the staff were hardworking and friendly and most spoke a bit of English. In that area, for £30 per nignt it is easy to do better.

The hotel needs total renovation and needs to be cleand more properly, but I guess the current situations coresponds to the pricing policy. I liked the free wireless access in the lobby though.

Very noisy, children banging on doors etc. Very hot in bedroom at night over 80 degrees 'f' and not possible to turn radiator down in the room that I was allocated. Cold tap water - warm. Asked for help on three occasions to no avail. 0 on telephone rarely gains a response and if your on a top floor room, the TV is hopelessly 'fuzzy'. Wi fi only in reception area. Staff not very helpful. Would not give the 'so called' Hotel any stars. Sorry, but I have to be honest. Very glad I was only staying there for one night. I skipped breakfast to 'escape'. Price and location the only positives. No thank you card given.

The Hotel is located in a very nice location. The rooms are so small and there is this very bad smell in the hotel. The rooms are so stuffy as well.It was hard for me to sleep and at night i usually went to a friends place to sleep.

Incredibly inexpensive, given it's location, however, low price is reflected by the overall condition of hotel which is generally run-down and in need of refurbishment. Something which, in fareness, seems to be gradually taking place. Only one toilet/shower combo per floor, each of which appeared to contain 10 rooms. Consequently, one often had to visit other floors looking for a vacant toilet, and because the toilets are in the same rooms as the showers, the floors were always covered in water. Our room was ill-designed for 2 beds, both of which were old and worn, with neither head nor foot boards. Both had old mattresses with broken springs, that one spent the night trying to avoid being stabbed by, and a single thin, lifeless pillow. No tea/coffee making facilities provided in bedrooms. Computer available in reception area, but not working at the time.

If you're looking for good value accomadation in central London this hotel is great. Only a short walk to the nearest tube station, Gloucester Rd. I would not hesitate to stay here when I visit London again.

The sheets were clean but the room was very shoddy. Tv had no remote, carpets unravelling, curtains tacky and dirty, bathroom water trickled out one tap and not the other - didn't even bother to try and shower. Service at breakfast was good. Will not stay there again.

The only issue was the hygiene of the bathroom sink area and worse the bath/shower. Only used the sink.Would not touch the bath/shower hygiene to poor. The shower unit needs replacing or take it away, the bath just needs a good scrub.

Very central location, but more than 5 minutes walk to Glouchester Road station! Clean, but terribly old and worn!!!!! Some renovations are beeing done, but long way to go!!!! Breakfast OK, but nothing fancy!!! The worst part are the beds!!!! They are bad. cover matras missing, so you lay straigth on to the springs!!! It is Painful! 1 night is OK, 2 is torture!!! (Even if the price is fair, I would say it is not worth it!)
