Getting there and around
Most travellers arrive by taking a ferry. The ferry service for the island is provided by Jadrolinija Ferries. There is no air transportation directly to Hvar.
Whilst there are buses, they are quite rare and hard to come by. Most visitors choose to hire another mode of transportation during their stay. Cars, scooters, and bicycles are widely available, with scooters being the clear favourite to manoeuvre about the island. Some tourists opt to walk for their explorations, and excursion boats are also available for trips to nearby islands.
