Courtyard by Marriott Munich City East Guest Reviews
Marriott Courtyard saves the week! My travel agent made a reservation error so when I arrived in Munich I had no room and it was 4 am stateside. I was not feeling comfortable with a quick resolution so I logged on to Orbitz and found a room available at the Courtyard City East. Checking the map it looked like it was close to the train so we jumped back on the train to the Ostbahnhof Station. I was pleasantly surprised as the hotel had only been open for several days and they were in the midst of a soft opening. The staff was great and very helpful with settling us in and giving us tips for restaurants and sightseeing. The hotel is within walking distance of the rail station, shops, and restaurants and they have a nice restaurant and bar on site. The U3 train runs directly to the site of the Oktoberfest and the S2 runs to Dachau Camp with a quick connection on the 726 bus. The S1 train runs to Ostbahnhof from the airport and is a 35 minute trip including the walk to the hotel. Thanks for a great week Marriott Staff , and Orbitz for saving us from almost certain disaster.
