I've been to Miami several times... This does sit right on the beach but it's up some from all the action which is down between 5th-12th but for the price you can't beat it. It's very quiet in this area & an inexpensive cab ride will get you right into where all the live action is. Over prices breakfast buffet but the rooms were ok

Best ever,would stayed again.Worth every penny. Beds were awesome.The little walk to beach was great.White sand beaches,there was a boardwalk to walk on.Felt totally safe walking there at night.

Should have stayed at a hotel on Ocean Drive in South Beach, hotel was okay, when I made the reservation it was for an Ocean view, but when I was given my room it was a balcony on the side of the building.

The Marriot on Collins was great!! They had everything we needed there. Breakfast was great, beach was awesome, we really didn't have to go to the strip for much.
