Location
The resort is located only 40 minutes by ferry on South Stradbroke Island, off Queensland's Gold Coast. Stay in award-winning hotel accommodation perched over the water's edge, or in self-contained stylish cabins nestled deep in a forest of Banksia trees.

Couran Cove Island Resort Gold Coast Guest Reviews
A relaxing friendly resort, great for a couple of days relaxation. We stayed in Marina Suite which was great, a spacious studio with limited cooking facilities. Huge bathroom, bathrobes incl . They are situated over the water with views of either the small lagoon or the marina. They are close to reception/bar/restauant area. For those wanting to get away a little more there are villas scattered throughout the resort, but it may take 5-10minutes to walk to pool area, would suggest that you hire bikes to scoot around. Casual meals in pool area restaurant were quite good value and service staff were friendly and helpful with selections. I would recommend for those not wanting the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast, or perhaps a taste of the bush, we saw wallabies, bandicoots, sugar gliders, goannas, whistling kites & parrots.

We spent the Easter long weekend at Couran Cove and absolutely loved it!! It rained a few times but it didn't dampen our enjoyment of the resort. The range of activities were fantastic, and we loved hiring bicycles to get around the resort. Nothing was too far away and it made the holiday that extra bit special. The only negative things are that the facilities probably are in need of updating, but are still enjoyable and fun to use. The bedding is too firm for our liking but the rooms were incredibly spacious and were beautifully located upon the lagoon. All in all, the resort is a beautiful place and I highly recommend it. The staff were incredibly helpful everywhere we went and made the stay pleasing. The restaurant and general store prices were a bit expensive but you could probably expect that due to the island location. A great holiday, thank you Couran Cove Island Resort!!!!

The booking was for four people but the unit only had provisions for two, e.g. towels. The daily cleaning was superficial. But the staff were very friendly, responsive and helpful.

We had a very lovely stay. The only negative is that it would be nice to have a a la carte breakfast menu without having to order the Breakfast Buffet for $34pp
