Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Newark Airport Guest Reviews
The beds were comfortable and the amenities were good. But the night time hotel staff leaves a lot to be desired. We had a sewage leak from the room above. We called the front desk and they told us someone would be right there. After 20 minutes, I went down to the front desk to inquire about the delay. The clerk said, with attitude, "do you want me to leave the front desk unattended to come take care of it myself?' When the engineer finally came to our room, he did not offer to clean or sanitize the bathroom. We had to use the icebucket to catch the water and he dumped it out and put it back on the vanity. He also set new towels on the vanity before cleaning it.

Great location, easily accessable to highways, mall across street, close to ferry terminal, and airport, Ruby Tuesday and IHOP within walking distance. Quiet, if you don't mind the sound of planes and the occasional choo-choo. The cookies out at night was very thoughtful, breakfast was 'okay' not a lot of variety and the breakfast room could have been laid out to encourage easier flow of guests. Staff very helpful and aware of guest needs. I would definitly stay here again!

i was tired the front desk crew jazzmine and alberto were perfect. the hotel was running on generators in the wake of irene and they told me up front i didn't have to stay if i didn't want to. i did stay the 1st night but canceled the next and crashed in NY at my bass players hotel. i would stay at the country inn in elizabeth nj anytime. very nice room, cozy bed,and the breakfast room had pretty much anything you needed to start the day. 10 stars for the staff

Jazzmine and Alberto at the desk were right on top of this. they took care of me right from the gate. they told me the problems they were having with remnants of Irene. there was no hot water or AC & the hotel was running on generators. i could bug out right away if i wanted. and not get charged.. i was tired and hungry and went next door to ruby's. had a nice dinner and a couple of beers. after traveling all day i wish i could have watched the rest of the yankee /sox game in my room . i had enough power in my room to fire up the clock radio and a couple of lamps. the tv side of the room wasn't getting any juice. the room was clean, the bed was way cozy after a long day, and Jazzmine needs to get a raise. she was great. i would recommend this place to anyone needing a hotel by EWR. i will stay there again. plus they had very entertaing shuttle drivers
