Miserable stay! Many youth teams stayed no sound proofing at all. Requested hotel staff help to quiet things down no effort and no results. Said they did all they could do. Stayed two nights got no sleep. Steer clear of this one!

I stayed here 4 nights. I was here to see a high school graduation and visit with family/friends. I ate breakfast here twice and found it very good. The room was always cleaned and looked nice. There was a high back chair that would have been most comfortable to watch TV but its placement in the room made it impracticable for good TV viewing. The TV was an older model (NOT an HDTV flat screen). I stayed in a room designated as handicap accessible. However that consisted of a couple of railings by the toilet and in the tub/shower combination. I would have preferred a shower without a tub to step into but I managed. Note: A friend in a regular room said the height difference between the floor and the bottom of the tub almost caused him to fall when getting out of the tub/shower. One other problem involved the bathroom sink. Since I am handicap I have to lean on the sink while washing up or brushing my teeth. My last morning at the hotel I was brushing my teeth and the sink broke away from the wall. I managed to ease it down on the floor and called for maintenance. I was not hurt but the staff also never asked if I was okay. Not a big deal since the staff are very friendly and ready to help when asked. If I ever travel to Aiken, SC again I would consider staying there again. However, I might first check out other handicap provisions at another hotel first.
