La Fortuna Climate
The climate in La Fortuna is mostly warm and humid; average temperatures for most of the year are between 25°C (77°F) and 30°C (86°F). Average temperatures are a few degrees cooler during the months of November through January. Any time is a great time to visit La Fortuna.
Getting There & Around
Visitors usually arrive by car, bus or tour van from San José, about a three-hour ride. If you don't want to drive on the hilly, curvy road, catch one of the daily flights from San José to La Fortuna Domestic Airport.
La Fortuna has public transportation, but to see the various sights around the area, renting a car may be the best choice.
