We asked for a room to the front of the hotel as we had on a previous trip been given a poor room to the rear of the hotel. We were given a nice room on the first floor overlooking the Marina. The room was large but there was an odour from the bathroom drains that while not overpowering was nevertheless constant. The room had twin beds. Both mattresses needed to be changed as one had a "slope" to it and the other a "dip" in it. I was the unfortunate one with the slope that made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was included in the price and it was good.

Based on the favourable reviews we booked Cost Azul on [website] and we were absolutely delighted with our choice. This hotel has everything required for a pleasant stay in Palma - price, location and service. The # 1 bus to and from the airport and the Sightseeing Tour Bus stop metres away. Rooms were spotless, comfortable and quiet. Guest age profile tends to be 35 and older so the risk of late-night disturance from revellers did not occur. The choice for breakfast was excellent as was the all-day, reasonably priced bar menu which we sampled throughout our stay. There are loads of cafes, bars and restaurants in the vicinity. As we had an evening flight we were glad to be able to store our luggage at the hotel. The very friendly and helpful staff were the crowning glory of our stay at Costa Azul and we will be recommending it to any of our friends visiting Palma.

Good location 20mins walk to the center although there are bars and restaurants on the door step. Rooms nothing special but meet 3* rating. Breakfast was good with a good selection. Staff generally friendly. Tour bus stop close to the hotel. If you pass a tourist information office call in, there are some cards with 10% off the tour price. Car park 12 Euros a day but you can park in the streets behind for free.
