If You dont get a special rate, the hotel is overpriced.

Stayed four nights at Cornarvin. Very handy to main train station, bus number 5 to/from airport goes from across the street. The lake is easily walkable, as is the old town. A supermarket is close by, as is a McDonalds and a Starbucks if you're looking for something familiar. The room was basically spotless, the bed pretty comfy and, unlike some hotels, you could actually walk around the bed without brushing against the wall. Heaps of storage although for four nights, I didn't need much. Breakfast was pretty good (a continental buffet I suppose you would call it). The breakfast room has a lovely view as well.

Travel pass given on arrival, frequent buses, train, trams for all directions outside the hotel, cannot be more convenient with an excellent transport system. Hop on and off at will, very helpful conductors/drivers. Geneva is very expensive in general but it seems the norm for them. A nice room on the sixth floor with a view on the mountains. The room was amazingly soundproof. The only negative point is the lack of menu choice for breakfast, it is the lot or nothing. Overal a very good week-end, the staff very un-obstructive, desk always manned and helpful. Geneva is very cosmopolite, so no worries about not speaking French, they all speak several languages.

excellent value for money. good views from level 7, comfortable room, good choice of channels. sauna, steam room and gym is a bonus!
