The hotel's location is perfect; it's right on the beach, 2 blocks from Lincoln Rd and the covention center, and 3 blocks from Ocean Drive. It's the perfect hotel for college students who want to party on South Beach all night for a weekend.

We read the reviews for this hotel and decided to take the gamble and stay anyway. The location looked good and the price fit our budget. Unfortunately we had terrible weather in Miami the entire time we were there and were confined to our room alot of the time. Our entire floor smelt terribly and the rooms were very old, dated and uncomfortable. The internet was available only in the Lobby and wasnt very fast. They also arranged a fire alarm testing one morning so the constant noise of the fire alarms was also disturbing. We had the 'do not disturb' sign on our door for the morning, however housekeeping ignored the sign and came in anyway. All in all the hotel was 'ok' but disappointing.

Well, where do we start? No parking. Unless you pay $32 a day for valet parking, or at a garage up the road a few blocks for almost the same amount. Onto the room. The shower, basin sink and toilet all leaked. When you flushed the toilet, it leaked out onto the floor. Some of the lamps did not work. The room was really dirty. There were bugs running along the chest of drawers. It was like a highway for bugs!!! Yuck. The lift stopped working twice. We used the fire stairs most of the time.Not even the bar was open!! We met some fellow travellers in the pool,and even they had thought it was the worst motel they had stayed in. Only positive things were the close proximity to South Beach (backed onto the beach) and also close distance to all restaurants. Have stayed all over the world, and this is by far the worst. If its cheap and close to all amenities you want, you only sleep there, so go for it. This motel has potential, if owners would spend some money on it and fix problems, and give it a facelift, it would be a great place to stay.

I Enjoyed my Stay at the continental.. its in a great location you have access to the pool and Beach .. as well as other offers such as transportation and food options the hotel has. Everytime I have flown in to miami I have stayed at The continental.. Its amazing.

i only showered slept, and got dressed at the hotel didn't use the pool, and I requested an iron (that they don't supply in rooms) and it took about a hour for it to come by then I changed into something i didn't need to iron and was heading out when house keeping was bringing it.
