Location
This property is spread over a huge area, 50 minutes by plane from Cairo and is built overlooking the gulf of Aquaba. The city centre is 5 kilometres away and the airport is 15 kilometres away.

Guests can choose any of the 725 luxurious rooms that are spacious, designed in a classical Arabian sea resort style and are of a high standard.

At the onsite, there are several restaurants and bars that serves international, oriental, Lebanese and mixed grill cuisine.

This is NOT a 5 Star hotel (despite what the hotel may claim). Breakfast was the worst i have ever had. When booking we were led to believe that this hotel was very near Old Sharm, but that was not the case. It is next to the airport and noisy. We were seriously misled.

This hotel and resort is a 20 minute taxi ride from Sharm and most of the guests seem to be on all inclusive packages so if you don't want to eat in the hotel every night be prepared for a journey. I preferred the restaurants in the old market area of Sharm, lots of fresh fish and a friendly atmosphere. Went diving from the hotel which was brilliant and the snorkelling at the hotel was amazing. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Would definitely go back.

I enjoyed my stay with my wife and children, people working are very friendly, you have quick service, everyone wants to help you. It was a good choice to choose from the begining. I think of coming back on my next holiday.

For the size of the hotel the checkin/checkout desk is seriously undermanned. Only 1 person mans this desk. Queues of up to 30 minutes can result. This is the only reason I scored service as "average". Other than checking in and out I could not fault the helpfulness of the staff. The bar staff and cafe staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Especially at the BBQ cafe, they certainly made my visit enjoyable. I was charged $USD15 for the hotel pick up from the airport that I was not expecting to pay. It is a 30 minute taxi ride (60 Egyptian Pounds) away from Naama Bay. It is within 300 metres of the runway at the Sharm el Sheikh airport.

Having visited the Concorde for the 3rd time in as many years, it still amazes me that standards of service and hospitality can remain so high for so long. Always a hugely warm welcome, no trouble responding to any request, and certainly the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are always evident. Highly recommended for first timers to Sharm and if you have stayed elsewhere, just give this one a try! Gordon Halladay
