*We had booked the free shuttle service from airport to hotel 7 days prior to arrival (confirmed by hotel e-mail)but this was not waiting for us on arrival. We had to wait outside the airport in 30C heat for more than 1/2 hour while the hotel was phoned and shuttle sent. However, the quality of the shuttle is commended. *Hotel is too far from main road so not possible to walk to main road to catch a taxi. This allows the hotel sponsered taxi service, which is an absolute RIP-OFF, an absolute monopoly. *Hotel uses tap water rather than bottled water in ice-making for drinks. This caused some of us severe diarhoea. *Inspite of booking non-smoking rooms we ended up with smelly smoking rooms and all attempts at changing the rooms failed. Two of us who are asthmatic suffered a lot.

Beautiful , palace-like hotel with charming terraces and pool. Great staff and clean rooms. Breakfast abundant and several bars sand restaurant to choose from for lunch and dinner. Only drawback is the high rte for the wireless internet. A large number of visitors will need it and € 6 per hour is way too high for Egypt.

An excellent hotel, we were so impressed with all services, we will be using this hotel in the future. Very handy for those who want to be stying around the Heliopolis area. If you prefer to be in a quieter room ask for one away from the swimming pool; but you will miss on a lot of fun. Food is excellent and value for money if you choose the open buffet. An excellent hotel, good value for money.

Superb 5 star hotel located within 15 min drive to Cairo airport, perfect for overnight stop before flight. Did not get to utilise facilities but looked superb, rooms in excellent condition.

The hotel is only 10 minutes from the Cairo international hotel, which was why I chose to stay there as I had an early morning flight to catch. The staff was courteous and professional. However, the room leaves much to be desired, particularly the design of the shower booth in the bath room. The "booth" has no walls to speak of, it's just a basin on the floor with shower curtains surrounding it. The length of the curtain was not long enough to reach the floor, so naturally after a shower, the water overflows and totally flooded the bathroom. And the room is also getting tired, air-conditioning didn't work very well (as is the case with many hotel rooms in Egypt) and the blanket is not adequate. I only paid $60 for the room (with HotelClub's rebate), so I can't complain, but otherwise I would consider it overpriced. It does have a good number of restaurants though.

This is my second stay at Concorde El Salam. The hotel is near the airport with a shuttle facility but no nearby attractions. However, the staff are courteous, and the hotel is family friendly. Highly recommended!!

Hotel is located near the airport in Heliopolis suburb (very far from Cairo) inside a kind of park, you walk to hotel for about 15 min. from the street. First they gave us a room on the back side, with entrance from the pool through a sliding window panel, although we paid for the standard room. At 7 pm loud music started playing in the pool area (they have an open air restaurant there). We complained for about 1 hour when they finally gave us another room in the main building which was quiet and of a much superior standard. In the morning they were supposed to provide a free shuttle to the city center but they told us it was "busy". Only after we have insisted for about half an hour they suddenly found a shuttle; but the driver wanted to drop us off much earlier than the city center. Breakfast was quite scarce for 5 or even 3-4* level. Mineral water was also not included in buffet. Overall, considering the location, service and price I would not recommend the hotel.
