Location
It is conveniently located near the Central Business District on a quiet street overlooking the beautiful Mitchell River. This hotel provides easy access to many nearby points of interest including Bairnsdale Aquatic and Recreation Centre and the Gippsland Wine Zone, featuring several local wineries and vineyards. The East Gippsland Rail Trail bicycle ride, walking paths and numerous wineries are in the surrounding area.

It was not the right choice for us as we were there when the weather was hot and the rooms are not airconditioned. The furnishing is old fashioned and not practical. The beds have hot blankets which is no substitute for heating on cool days.

Old style hotel. Our room was dark and only window overlooked the bar garden. The toilet window had only net curtaining on the bottom half with stairs and balcony outside ... not very private.

Good overnight stop. Beautiful old property, well renovated (superior room) with good dinner. Quiet with good private parking DJHM
