Columbia Cliff Villas Hood River Hotel Guest Reviews
Overall it was a cozy spacious room. I personally had a few gripes. The private balcony was a stretch, french doors which opened into the room with a 2ft metal out-cropping. It was nice but not what I invisioned. The shower was huge, but the hand held whould shoot me right in the face, it was mounted too high. The RR tracks are right below the cliff, didn't seem to hear them in the night though which was good. Positives: mini fridge in the bathroom so you could close door and not hear it run all night. Kuerig coffee maker, ihome, robes and all the towels smelled Downy fresh!

The staff was incredibly gracious and bumped us up to a more comfortable room because I had forgotten my daughters air mattress. The room was beautiful with great views of the river. Kitchen was a dream and the location was just outside the main part of Hood River. Only drawback was how close it was to the freeway, so if road noise bothers you bring earplugs.

The reception was nice and the villas are finished out as a top notch accommodations. I did upgrade to get a window view of the gorge and a room with a kitchen and more space. The price can be higher and some units go as high as $495/night overlooking the gorge with a full 2-3 bedroom suite with balcony. The base room has no view and is like a normal hotel room but is new and is very nice. Next door and accessible to the pretty landscaped grounds adjacent to the Columbia Gorge Classic Hotel that been there since the 30's. Depending on the price I would stay there again for sure. Right off the highway and a mile or so from downtown Hood River.
