Columbia Apartments Auckland Guest Reviews
If you're happy to have somewhere to just put your head down and are not worried about flash carpets, cramped conditions etc, then this is your place. "Apartment" conjures up a very different image to what we got. On the upside, it was quiet and close to Queen St and all the shopping, buses etc.

I wasn't very impressed with the service at the reception area. My partner and i spent 15mins trying to figure out what room we were in and how to open it, when we went back down to the reception we waited another 10mins for someone but there was no one at the reception area. The rooms were a bit cramped but generally were good. The tv's had fuzzy reception so it wasn't nice watching television there. The bathroom needs a new sink because the ones in our room made us cringe when brushing our teeth and having a shower - it was rusting and the paint was flaking on the sink legs. I wouldn't go back

I stay in hotels all over the world all year round, some good and some bad. This is one of the worse I have ever stayed in, it is filthy and disgusting. I have stayed in no star gusets houses in India that are far cleaner, it is horrible dont bother!

The room I stayed in was very small, with a single , rather hard bed, but it was clean and had a tv with some sky channels. The apartment has no living room, just a rather crampt kitchinette, but you get what you pay for, and is good value in the same price band as a hostel. Great for a group of 3/4 people.

Shared kitchen/bathroom toilet area was a bombsite. Having student apartments in with accom are not a good look. They may be cheap accom but it came with a pigsty that featured no toilet paper, unwashed clothes, towels, etc etc.
