Manizales Climate
Manizales, Colombia, is located in an area that has a sub-tropical highland climate. However, due to its altitude, the city experiences mild high summer temperatures which rarely surpass 21°C. The area does receive a significant level of rainfall, which peaks at around 190 mm in the month of October.
Getting There & Around
Visitors travelling by air can arrive at La Nubia Airport. However, the runways at this facility are very short and can only receive flights from turbo-propeller aircraft. Alternatively, you can also fly into the José María Córdova International Airport in Medellin and get to Manizales via an inexpensive coach.
Getting around Manizales is easy and cheap. Bus fare is usually costs less than A$1, depending on the distance and the bus line. Taxis are ubiquitous, but the minimum fee will be about twice that amount.
