We had a junior suite in the chateau, The dinner and breakfast were lovely, and apart from the water not being quite hot enough in the bathroom, we had a great stay.

The hotel was excellent value for money. The grounds are delightful. The meals were superb.

The Hotel Clery is in a wonderful setting and if you stay in the main house is full of old-world charm and ambience. The restaurant serves excellent food and the service is impeccable. The bedroom we stayed in was a large one on the 2nd floor with a fantastic view down the avenue of trees to the gates and the hills beyond. Some might say it was a little "worn" but we thought it added to the atmosphere of the place and it had a nice big bathroom! It was so much nicer to stay in a place that looked a little lived in and had character and history than one of the modern one-size-fits-all, hypo-allergenic, generic hotels that are everywhere nowadays.
