The room was clean, but furniture was outdated as was the hotel in general. It's a shame that California's 3rd largest city doesn't have more to offer in terms of affordable hotels.

1. Nice hotel, 15 minutes from San Jose Convention center. 2. Located on kind of "high way" so nothing can be reached with out a car(!).

This is a basic, yet very convenient place to stay in the sense that it's 3 minutes' walk to bus stops directly to downtown (about 20 minutes. use vta.com to check the timing and routes of the buses, including light rail), and it provides free wifi, free breakfast, coffee pot, iron, which are all essential nowadays. The bed is very comfortable, the room is spacious, and the front desk is very courteous. Well, be prepared that this is not a high star hotel, and you won't expect very splendid facilities. It's a little smelly in the lobby. But at this price within this region, I am overly satisfied with what I've got.
