Clarion Hotel Dublin Airport
3 out of 5

We arrived at midnight and phoned immediately for the courtesy bus which then did not arrive for about 40 mins - even though the hotel is 2 minutes drive from the terminal!- we had to phone twice before it eventually came. The check in was quick but we were given a room on the 2nd floor and there is no lift! So had to haul 3 cases up the stairs. The room was clean and generally well appointed. The bed was large and comfortable BUT the pillows were appalling! - they really ought to spend some money on new decent pillows. As a result we did not have a particularly good nights sleep and ended up with a crick in the neck the next day. The Clarion is in a superb location so close to the airport but they need to up their game.

Good value for money and few hundred meters from the airport, but do not rely on the wake up call. Mine was made 45 minutes later than promised - not a fantastic start to the day! (Unless you prefer a brisk walk/run to the airport and hope for short queue at security) Most people might have their own wake up device, but if you are not "most people"...

Hotel is at the airport & provides shuttle service. The hotel rooms are not as nice as the Radisson but the ambience in the public areas is much friendlier and livelier. From lunch time on, the lobby is busy with people and you will be comfortable having a meal, tea, or a drink.

I thought the hotel was very nice, especially the public areas. However, there are no dedicated non-smoking corridors or floors. Thus, one had to endure a lot of second-hand smoke to get to the room. When I asked to be moved to a non-smoking floor, they simply changed rooms but I was still on a floor with both smoking and non-smoking rooms. I don't understand why they would organise their rooms like that since smoke gets everywhere, it doesn't just stay in the smoking room. A shame since the hotel is otherwise quite good and conveniently-located. Also, they charge 1 euro for a ticket on their airport shuttle. This is the first time I have heard of a charge for a hotel that is actually at the airport. It just seems like the kind of thing that would be included in the room cost.

We only atayed one night before a flight but found the staff very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed an excellent reasonably-priced meal in the restaurant. We would definitely use this hotel again.

There isn't a gym on site and I feel that charging ten euro's is not acceptable to use the facilities at the buliding next door!!!

A very handy hotel for Dublin Airport (less than 5 minutes by their shuttle bus) Food good with an asian twist and rooms comfortable.

Was very, very annoyed when they woke me up to pay for the hotel after midnight. They said I must pay early as only a deposit was paid as my internet booking. onther than this hotel has a fine location.

we were allowed to let the car in the car park while that was an advantage but the price of the car park was the same as the long term park. Maybe it could be less

A very pleasant hotel in which to spend a night or two before departure or on arrival in Ireland. Shuttle to Airport Terminal or Bus links to City Center readily available.

A very good hotel with the best breakfast I ever had. Very organized. A bit old, and far from the city centre. The taxi costs 20 Euro for a single drive. If renting a car I would recommend it.
