Location
The Clarion is situated just two minutes from Cork Bus Station and a short ten minute walk from Cork Kent railway station. The hotel is also within easy reach of the newly opened ARC Event Centre situated in Cork Docklands.

Booked this hotel for a mid-week stay on business. Overall found the hotel to be a decent enough place to stay, going back 15 years you can see this really would have been a top flight hotel but time has taken it's toll but only a little. Great location in the city and easy to find as well, the welcome was good and very helpful too. The room itself was a decent size and was reasonably cleen but some more attention wouldnt go amiss. Had a slight problem with the sound proofing as the snoring chap next door may as well have been next to me in bed. The bar downstairs was good if a little steep for a soft drink €3. Breakfast was also reasonable and if booked when checking in was €10. My main surprise came when I came to check out and had to pay €10 for parking as this was not noted anywhere in the hotel description. So when added together with the room cost, then paying extra for breakfast, then extra again for parking, it kind of put a dampner on the value overall. This said, if I could get a good deal in the future I would consider staying again.

Excellent hotel in great location. The Asian theme menu in the bar is excellent, well worth a try. Would definately not stay anywhere else in Cork city.

We often stay in the Clarion for our wedding anniversary. It is extremely close to the city centre. (Shops and Restaurants). We ate the first night in the restaurant in the bar. It was excellent. The waitress from Poland (with the Cork accent), was very good humoured and helpful. There is a great 'buzz' in the bar. The food was excellent.

Checked in staff very friendly and fast no delays .. Pool excellent . Underground car park €10per day very slow to process when leaving park. Plenty of bar staff but very disappointing service from them both evenings
