Maybe I shouldn't have expected more but the Clarion was horrible. I felt unsafe, the room stank of cigarette smoke and the doors wouldn't even fit right.

In general, our stay at Clarion Hotel was satisfactory. It offered what we needed for the duration of our stay. Rugs need cleaning (especially the hall ways), tub was clogged, toilet top needed fixture, lights are dull (poor lighting).

This is by no means a 5-star hotel, however we had a really lovely experience. We received a complimentary upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi. Rooms were clean and the hotel offers something for everyone whether it is a pool, fitness room, hot tub, or even a bar! The continental breakfast was really good as well. Homemade waffles, eggs, sausage, and the usual bagels, toast, etc. It is right off the freeway and less than a mile from downtown Ann Arbor. Would stay again.

The air conditioning wasn't working very good when we got there - but they sent someone right away and it was fixed to our satisfaction.

air conditioning poor, dirty, cob webs and cigarette butts everywhere outside, cob webs over hot tub, strong cigarette smell in the non smoking room. I was extremely disappointed and disgusted and will never stay there again. I thought that Clarion Hotels used to be very high quality hotels?
