Location
CityLife is on Lambton Quay in Wellington central business district, near Lambton Quay Cable Car Station and six kilometres to Wellington International Airport. Holidaymakers can frolic in the beaches at Oriental Bay or catch sporting events at Westpac Stadium.

We went to check in to our 'studio' apartment only to be told our room had been upgraded to a two bedroom/2 ensuite apartment! It was fantastic, 1st time that has happened to us, shame we couldn't stay longer. As always, good value for money and superb service.

Our suite at the CityLife was convenient, comfortable, well-equipped and reasonably priced. The hotel is located midway between our conference venue and the cultural precinct and an easy walk from both. Despite being right in the centre of things it was quiet (aside from an occasional eruption from other guests). Within the suite the rooms were of ample size; no need to turn sideways to squeeze past the bed. The kitchen was fully kitted out, and the dining area would seat six without bumping knees. The bathrooms, which appeared quite up-to-date, featured comfortably large showers and effective ventilation. The price was less than that of a simple room in some other more prestigious establishments nearby. Highly recommended - and would suit a longer stay.

Clean and comfortable. Cooking facilities in room which was good. Just a little bit away from eating places on a cold wet Tuesday evening in winter.

After a bad start.. we couldn't find the main entrance, it is quite complicated when you don't know wellington. We dealt with a lovely staff, efficient and smiling. We had a really lovely stay at the citylife. Hightly recommanded. They just need to clarify the address of the main entrance as gilmer street and get a bigger sign on lambton quay.

The hotel is located with the ground floor on Lambton Quay and the sixth floor (reception etc) on Gilmer St which is off The Terrace. Thus the hotel has entrances on two of Wellingtons most well-known downtown thoroughfares. The lower entrance on Lambton Quay is for pedestrian traffic only. Cars, taxis and shuttles use the 6th floor entrance where there is limited parking. On check-in, the hotel upgraded us to a two-bedroom suite which was appreciated.
