Citrus Hotel Johor Bahru Guest Reviews
My wife and I had an enjoyable stay. The service staff were courteous and very willing to accommodate our requests. Only thing is the elevators were on maintenance and can be noisy and at times we need to wait a long time for them. On 1 occasion, my wife and I had to climb up 8 floors to our room and another time, we had to climb down 8 floors to get to the lobby. We hope the renovation will be completed soon so that we can have a look at the club lounge. Rooms are otherwise clean and comfortable. The hotel also provided a good variety for their breakfast in view of the pricing. Also, it is so near to City Square (just opposite a small road) and the custom that we saved a lot on transport and traveling time. Staying in Citrus was really a very affordable but comfortable getaway. Please quickly finish your renovation.

They did not put Citrus Hotel but instead they still use A Melati Vista hotel so we couldn't find it at first. Asked around and nobody know where Citrus Hotel was until I mentioned A Melati Vista then someone showed me the way... Jia lak man! The surroundings of the hotel also undergoing renovation so very noisy and the lift was very slow... Looks like those in 1970s.... lifts man! Regret booking this hotel ! The only plus points are the hotel is very near City Square and beside the hotel there is a alley which sells good food. The room is newly reonvated and clean.

The location of the hotel is very good and the room is comfortable although the hotel is undergoing major renovation.

Cleanliness : Room had ants which attacked my sweets. During breakfast saw a big fat rat scampering about. Facilities : One lift door had trouble closing. I'm not a fussy person and i love animals but the rate of RM120.00/nite should be RM60.00 to make it value 4 money.

On booking into the hotel I noticed the dirty carpet and lack of facilities at Reception. We had luggage so had no choice but to stay .The rooms 601 & 607 had dirty carpet, dirty walls-three lights in my room did not work nor did the TV or the airconditioner. I complained so after 11PM I was moved to room 806 which meant I was two floors up from my Son ( he was in 601 also filthy stained carpet and walls) I did not like the cliental staying there nor did my son, he took me to the room and waited outside for me to lock myself in.The noise coming from the lightwell ( where the window of the faced was ) was deafing so I rang the Desk to ask what it was, it was the airconditioner, I had to turn it off it was so loud and left the fan on.I woke about 5am to find the fan had stopped working. I paid RM 101 per room to sign in. We stayed one night too many. I have never been in such a dirty, run down place in my life and I travelled through Sumatra in 1977 this was worse.
