Citadines Sainte Catherine Apart Hotel Brussels
4 out of 5

WE were a bit concerned having read some adverse reports. However we were very pleasantly surprised. Our studio apartment had two very comfortable twin beds, very good pillows( not something you always find in hotels) Bathroom had shower and bath , a definite plus. also very good hairdryer. Kitchen area very well stocked with utensils, cutlery dishes and glasses as well as a dishwasher. Didn't use it all that much as there were plenty of good restuarants around. Staff were very welcoming and helpful . definitely a place where we will be more than happy to come back to.

A very good location, just across a metro station, at a walking distance from the Grand Place and close to a wide variety of restaurants. Having a kitchenette, refrigerator and microwave saves more than a few Euro. I would return to the hotel and reccomend it to friends. The only drawback is that the extended sopha bed in the studio is too noisy.

Fantastic location, very central, right by a metro stop, although everything in walking distance. A local shop to self cater, a few doors down the street. The fish resturants on Place Sainte Catherine very nice. Friendly helpfull staff in the hotel. I will be back.

Very good location - nice cobblestone square, lots of restaurants and very close to Grand Place (5-10 min walk). Hotel is basic but clean, and inexpensive.

An OK apartment-style hotel with kitchen area. Was a bit bemused by the lack of bed until I realised you were meant to pull the sofa-bed out to go to sleep. Price when I stayed was reasonable, but I have seen higher prices. You can get a similar set-up at a much lower price at the Wellington Aparthotel, although this is more out of the way.

I like this hotel, as it's quite cheap (at least for Brussels), in a good location, with a tube station just 10 metres away and yet it is quite comfortable.

Excellent central location, quiet street close to good restaurants. But rooms a little run-down, and the big problem with Citadines: their uncomfortable sofa beds.

The convertible bed is despicable. Uncomfortable and noisy. A standard non-foldable bed would be much nicer.

The block we stayed in needed to be refurbished but was still acceptable. The staff were busy so had to ask several times for extra pillows, chair etc. but it was a busy holiday time so think they were rather stretched. Excellent position, next to metro, easy walk to centre, local bars/restaurants.

My first impression when entering the room and seeing only a sofa (which I found out later became a bed) was not so pleasant. But then, after turning it into a bed (which is the first thing you expect to see in a room) it was ok. The location was perfect beccause with the metro stop a stone's throw way, you could go anywhere in Brussels. The Cathedral was very close. I would recommend it for the facilities it offers if you want to eat in the room and visit places.

If I can say one thing only, it's a pleasure to emerge from metro stairs and find the hotel only 20 meters away. Besides the hotel was clean and service hospitable. This is a great location - only 400 meters from Grand Place.

the studio was reasonably clean. the computer in the lobby was not working. however, if you have your notebook, there is free adsl access in the studio. if you do not have a cable, the hotel will lend one to you. even though i arrived early, i was able to have the studio without having to wait. the location is good. from the airport, take the train to central station and then it is 2 metro stops away. metro ste catherine is right beside the hotel. there are lots of restaurants nearby. some places of interest are also within walking distance. the studio was very quiet. i would not hesitate to stay there again if the rate is as reasonable as it is now.
