Getting There

The Shanghai metro line crosses The Bund, but the nearest stop is at East Nanjing Road, which is about a five-minute walk away. Ferry services and pleasure cruises disembark from the wharves near the embankment and offer a unique way to see the city, especially at night. The pedestrian tunnel that crosses the Huangpu River from this neighbourhood is not really for pedestrians at all, as slow moving vehicles take passengers through a light show projected on the tunnel walls. Shuttle buses and taxis go directly to The Bund from the Pudong International Airport.
