Hohhot Climate
Hohhot boasts a cold semi-arid climate, marked by long, cold and dry winters and steamy summers. The coldest month is January, with a daily average temperature of -11ºC, while July is the warmest month boasting an average temperature of 22ºC. Annual precipitation levels measure 400 mm, with the majority of precipitation falling in July and August.
Getting There & Around
Hohhot Baita International Airport is the town's main airport, situated one hour outside of downtown by car. Taxis are readily available at the airport to take tourists to their base within town.
The town is served by two main railway stations, and the public transit system comprises almost 100 different bus routes. There is also an expansive fleet of taxicabs, the majority of which are green in colour. Bicycle use is highly convenient.
