Hefei Climate
The climate in Hefei is best described as humid and subtropical. It has four different seasons with cold and damp winters, pleasant springs, humid summers and cool autumns. Typically the hot weather reaches 37ºC in the summer and drops below freezing in the winter.
Getting There & Around
The nearest international airports are located at Shanghai and Beijing, although China Eastern Airlines offers domestic flights from these cities to Hefei Luogang Airport. It is also possible to reach town by high-speed rail. There are several long-distance buses from other Chinese cities that stop in town, as this is a major transportation hub in China.
It is easiest to get around the city by taking taxis. There are green and black taxis available, and the fare to most attractions range from 10-20 RMB. Driving is not recommended due to the heavy traffic.
