Located in the historic city of Beijing, the one-and-only Lama Temple is by far one of the country’s most memorable lamaseries, representing Beijing’s very oldest building of its kind. Getting There
The Lama Temple is located in the northeastern section of Beijing within the Dongcheng District. The temple is open to the public from 9 am to 5 pm. Holidaymakers can take the subway line 2 to the Yonghegong Station. Once travellers have left the station via Exit C, they should travel south until they arrive at the temple. Furthermore, buses 116, 117, or 13—part of the city’s efficient transport system—can take travellers to the Yonghegong Station. Buses 18, 44, 62, 75, 909, and 2 will take visitors to the Yonghegong Qiao Dong Station near the temple.
