Chelsea House Hotel London Guest Reviews
The hotel receptionist claimed to have no knowledge of my booking and refused to recognize my printed reservation from [your website]. He said that the hotel was fully booked and that I must try elsewhere. When I insisted the manager be called, an attempt was made to persuade me to take an inferior room (with no recompense of price) in a nearby hotel. Finally I contacted [your website] who were magnificent and persuaded the hotel to find me a comparable room in a nearby hotel. Guests should beware that this hotel apparently does not necessarily honour bookings on [your website]! (The booking was made for 15/16 December 2007)

Carpets, sheets, under the beds and bathroom very dirty. Window in bathroom with a hole of 5 cm. which means cold, a lot of cold. Our room was in the 3rd floor so the heat wasn´t working that high, so they give us a heater.... The rooms in bottom were much more dirty. Beds were 1.80 * 60 cm maybe. We had 3 rooms paid, one for 5 nights, but we all left after the first night. The worst hotel I´ve ever been in London. We went to a hotel closer to Earl´s Court, same price almost, looked same type but was clean and heated.

This is the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The pillows were smelly and all stained. Aside from blood stains on the sheets, the sheets were so old they were yellowed. There were two unwrapped, used soap bars in the bathroom. The bathroom was so small, you could barely close the door to use the toilet. We stayed for two nights, and the room was not made-up for the second day. It was truly an awful place. I would have willing checked into an another hotel if there was something avaiable. But everything was booked because of the Earl's Court Boat Show.

This place was the pits! Service poor, location extremely noisy( On main road) but OK for tube. Room tatty paint flaking in shower, window didn't shut properly TV didn't work and wouldn't tune in remote control batteries missing.as well Repair promised - never happened. breakfast basic and meagre. Thank Goodness it was only one night. Don't know who rated this a 2 star- must have been deaf and blind! Will not stay there again.

You get what you pay for but in this case you get even less. The room was small, the bed uncomfortable, the sheet was torn, the carpet was dirty, the cupboard door would not close, the bathroom was cramped and dirty, the shower head fell off, the electricity ceased twice and there were building works outside.
