A very agreeable hotel with helpful staff.

We stayed at the hotel for five nights. Every morning we went to breakfast, there were no more tea glasses. Sometimes we had to use wine glasses to drink tea, which were plentiful there at that time of the day! One morning, I dared to make a comment about this to the young woman working there. She said the hotel didn't have enough glasses. Then she added the following: "What do you want me to do? Bring them to you from my home?" The customer service was on the whole poor.

Unfortunately we were confronted with a rude and arrogant front desk staff member who was more interested in continuing her personal phone call. The registration process was completed with minimal verbal interaction from this staff member. Room keys were slid across the reception desk with no explanation as to room location or hotel facilities - we were not advised that there was a restaurant or outdoor bar in garden. Each time we left the hotel we were required to hand the room keys to reception - yet again there was no greeting upon handing over or retrieving the keys. This experience completely detracted from our stay. We are at a loss as to how someone with such poor customer service skills can be given a front desk position .The room, whilst clean, had an overwhelming stench to it that required the windows to be kept open at all times and the ensuite had a distinct mouldy odour. .

Basic but clean rooms and bathrooms. Helpful staff, central location. Good value for money for a short stay.
