Here with a group of friends for a wedding. Spent a lot of time around the pool (and the bar!) and it was perfect for that. Could always get a sun lounge, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Loved 2 for 1 cocktails during happy hour - which happened three times a day! Would definitely go back. Only downside is you have to pay for Wi-Fi in the rooms. but there is free Wi-Fi in some of the public areas.

We were disappointed at every turn with this hotel. Our room was average nothing special and once we were in it for a while we came to find it has several mosquitoes in it which lead to us getting bit up at night. The staff whenever we asked a question looked at us like we were inconveniencing them. One example of this is at breakfast the waitress came over and asked if I would like something to drink and I said water at which point she said it is over there and walked away. Not that I couldn't have gotten it for myself if I had seen it, it was just the matter of her resistance to actually get me something to drink (done right lazy). We had been traveling through southeast Asia for two weeks at this point and have stayed at many different hotels and ones with far less star rating and everyone had free internet except this hotel which charged about $26 for 6 and a half hours of use (completely ridiculous). After having a very busy schedule for two weeks we were excited for our beach vacation as a time to relax. This hotel was anything but relaxing as it was very outdated, the beach left a lot to be desired, the walls were paper thin, and as I mentioned before we were constantly dealing with mosquitoes in the room. As a result this was our worst hotel of the entire trip and I would not recommend it to anyone. We stayed at the Connrad for one night before coming her and it was like night and day. I would recommend the Conrad instead, though it was a little pricey as you had to eat that the resort because it was so isolated, but it truly was a romantic relaxing paradise. Stay away from Chaweng Regent Beach Resort Samui unless you want to be disappointed!

Nice Hotel. I only Say NICE. Great Location, staff do anything for you. When you arrive in Samui you can get much better hotels for the price.I could not reccomend anybody to this hotel due to 1 reason. The Shower is the worst i have ever used in an international Hotel, i have stayed in over 100 Hotels and this was the worst ever. It is like a Drop and we had 2 rooms and was moved from another and all showers the same. Hot water is lucky to last 30 seconds. I was putting my swimmers on and showering everyday by the pool to get some pressure. If the rooms had better showers i would highly reccomend people to stay here. Location is sensational, close to everything. Eating and Drinking at Hotel save your money and do a short walk stock up your fridge as well. $Ate at their restaurant, paid for a 5star price meal got about 3 star meal. $150+ for 2 entrees, 2 mains and 2 drinks, Would not of raved about food. Rooms very nice and large with a new LCD TV

The Chaweng Regent Beach Resort was a joy to stay at. The bungalows are very private and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they have car and motorbike rentals on site as well as the usual tour and dive reservations. The beach restaurant, Bar and pool are beautiful and the nightlife and restaurants are just out front. But not close enough to be noticeable from your room. I will stay there again.

The service during breakfast was quite unefficient. Also the beach wasnt as nice as it was 3 years ago. Rooms are abit run down and need a facelift. the breakfast spread needs a bit more choices.

Great location. It was pretty but not spectacular. A bit overpriced but the great attitude from the staff made up for it.

upgraded to royal suite - hence a perfect end to stay. Service and food at breakfast was the worst of the whole trip to Thailand

While the rooms at the beach were gorgeous, the service was terrible. We couldn''t check into out room until 3:30pm-1.5 hours after we got there!!! They were REALLY slow at cleaning the rooms-sometimes our room was not cleaned until after 3pm and they were slow on providing information, fresh towels, etc. The food was overpriced and did not compare in quality or price to other hotel''s resturants. The beach was perfect, the 2 pools were lovely, the view was incredible, the rooms were charming-but the service was frustrating.

The hotel was nice, but there was a worm in my bathtub and several mosquitoes in my room. It also would have been nice if the hotel could have given us a few restaurant suggestions (they only suggested their own restaurant).

Bar/Restaurant facilities were limited and not particularly appealing. Luckily there are several other good venues close by. Limited seating by pools & on the beach - unless you claimed a spot by 9:30am, there was no where to relax during the day.

Most of the leisure facilities, other than the 2 pools were under renovation (in peak season too). Maid cleaned room and regularly "forgot" to leave clean towels -I think the hotel ran out on a regular basis. The two restaurants were not anything special and the evening entertainment was a trio singing to backing tracks Karaoke style - out of tune too!

On the plus side the location is very good, in the middle of everything and with one of the best beach fronts available as it is one of Chaweng''s first luxury hotels. Very few rooms have a sea view but the villas and gardens are well kept and the poolside area is pleasant enough. But overall, not really worth the money.

This was the second time I had stayed at this establishment. The property and location cannot be faulted. From a food perspective, the breakfast is excellent. In comparison to the quality and rates available during the evening at other restaurants on the beach, Chaweng Regent needs to improve. We had an All You Can Eat Buffet which was quite disappointing due to the lack of choice.
