Very well located hotel with less than average level of comfort and facilities. Our triple room on the 5th flour was very small, uncomfortable and worn-out. Renovated bathroom looks nice, but was extremely small. Moderate cold buffet breakfast. I’ll never come back to this hotel and, if you don’t need to be close to St Lazare train station due to any reason, I don’t recommend this hotel.

The Charing Cross Hotel Paris had adequate and clean facilities. The free internet access was not available in my single room so was offered an upgrade to a double room for 20 euro per night. Opted to pay 15 euro for 10 hours access to the Orange wifi network which had an unreliable reception from the room. An iron was available from reception but no ironing board. The safe wasnt bid enough for a laptop and cost 3 euros per day. Had a restriction on keeping food in the mini bar fridge which most travelers would find inconvenient. A good location close to the metro. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and spoke English. A few small improvements would make this hotel a more attractive option.

The lobby is okay, the rooms are poor. Small,no drawers for clothes, lack of hangers. This was based on looking at two rooms the first being even smaller. The paper on the walls was dirty, ripped and discoloured. In our room the WC bowl was cracked and stained. The day to day cleaning of rooms was okay.
