Channel Inn Hotel Washington DC Guest Reviews
The location is very pretty by the waterfront and the rooms are large. You need to get one on the River side of the hotel. The Pier restaurant is good but overpriced. However, even with the Locator bus stopping right across the street, this bus does not serve all areas and it is a long walk to the White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial etc. There are no decent restaurants near the Hotel, so unless you buy takeaways from Safeway Supermarket (10 mins away), you have to travel to eat out. The locator bus stops at 9pm. The Hotel charges are also not cheap and we all felt that we could have done better choosing an hotel closer to the city centre.

The price is modest for Washington, DC. The facilities are old. There is access to a pool/fitness center but it is not overly convenient; however, one can walk along the river and see ships and boathouses.

Great location, nice outlook over water, excellent restauruant, building a bit tired but very clean and tidy.

The hotel shows signs of aging and lack of anything more than routine cleaning and maintenance. The restaurant service was good and the food generally tasty, but the menu reminded us of the 1950s. The best thing about the hotel is the location.
