Chancellors Hotel & Conference Centre Manchester
4.2 out of 5

Very good value for money hotel. It is also a Conference Centre, so there is always plenty of activity, but crucially, I found it quiet at night, which is what I wanted. It is a few miles out of the city centre, but there are frequent buses a few minutes' walk away, and at least the car could be parked safely and for free. The building was warm and the breakfast excellent. Staff were friendly and willing to help. Recommended.

Very welcoming staff and service brilliant. Breakfast excellent! Only one area to be concerned, the shower water was hot and cold so be careful. Besides, great location to relax. Will book again.

Had problem finding the hotel as it is in the grounds of the University, so could do with improved signage. However, very good hotel and while it did not have a lot of facilities the car parking was excellent and was very convenient for a short trip to the City centre.

A very competitively priced hotel which, although not in the centre of Manchester, was very well provided by the local bus services. The room was clean and adequate for my needs, breakfast was tasty and waiting staff were efficient and friendly. Once it has wi-fi access in the bedrooms, it will provide everything a business traveller needs.

It is a nicely located hotel, our room was very quiet which we enjoyed, but the one thing which stands out from everything else was the staff. From the moment we arrived there, nothing was too much trouble, if they could help, they would go out of their way to. I can honestly say, after many, many years of staying in hotels, that the staff in the Chancellors are the best by far of any other place I know. One young lady in particular was more than helpful to my wife and I but she works only to sunday at three, I failed to remember her name. They were all very pleasant from the moment we walked in from the duty manager to the cleaning staff. On the whole they were a great team, and it shows.

Very nice and clean hotel, about 15 min. far from the center (by bus). Buses in day + night service, so the hotel is accessible without problem. Good and rich breakfast, good bed, quiet neighborhood.

Good value for money, althought he Monday morning breakfast, whilst plentiful, was a bit dissapointing for a vegetrain.

very small rooms, very noisey rooms you couold hear next door in the shower and the road noise was bad. We had a horrible unrestful night and would say avoid it at all cost

Really nice place to stay, but the room had originally been designed as a single, so it was a bit cramped for 2 people.

Ideally situated for the Fallowfield campus, a bus /taxi ride out of the city so may not suit everyone's needs. Superb value for money, food excellent. Very helpful friendly staff.

We booked & paid in 3 months in advance. When we arrived we were told that there were no bookings in our name. We asked them to sort it and went for a meal, on returning we were given a room for both nights, an apology & a complimentary bottle of wine. But it turned out to be a single room with a double bed in it! The setting is great - beautiful grounds, the food is good and the staff courteous.

Walls must be made of cardboard. Only go if you like listening to your neighbours conversations and anything else they may get up to!! It felt like we were sharing the room. Oh and avoid this if its likely to be holding a wedding on the evening. When we complained they didnt believe us - thats customer service for you. Bathroom needed a revamp too.
