Location
Celuisma Playa Dorada Beach Resort & Spa is located right on the beach and is only 5 kilometres from downtown Puerto Plata. Only 15 kilometres away from Puerto Plata's International Airport, the resort is very close to Robert Trent Jones Golf Course.

Overall very good experience, nice, friendly staff. There was a bug problem in our room but they took care of it quickly, Food was pretty good, great value for your money.

we love staying at this hotel we love the staff and the treatment they gave us me and my childrens .. the food was great . the variaty of food was very good. the staff was very good with the kids specially "diesel" minime he was the best ..... will good back again next year..love the vacation the kids love it tooo they cant wait to go back .......

We have waited all year to go to the Dominican Republic we were very exited to go to this hotel the staff was very good with us and the kids specially mini me "diesel" he was the best ever very good guy .... hope if i go back to this hotel he is still working there we are planing to go next summer again i will tell friends and family in regards to this hotel love it the restaurant very clean and various food we like that and also the show that they did was awesomeness..... we all love it they kept the rooms very clean the other restaurant was also good the food was great ....... thanks for making my vacation worth waiting for will see you all next year.... kevin

I have visited Dominican Republic several times (12 or more) and stayed at various hotels. Celuisma Playa Dorada was more than I expected considering it was very reasonably priced. The food was by far better than most of the other hotels I've been to. Matter of fact, this was one of the only trips where I did not get sick. Overall, it was kept pretty clean, including the beach area. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. We travelled with a 9 month old and a 9 year old, and this hotel was great for families.

I really enjoyed my stay! The location is good though the rooms are quite old. I had read reviews about the hotel and was concerned since they were mostly negative but I decided to give them a try anyway. Boy, I am glad I did! The staff was helpful and courteous, I like the food especially the lobster. Lots of activities there, you never get bored.
