George Town experiences a tropical marine climate with warm, rainy summers and dry, cool winters. Summer temperatures range from 26°C to 30°C (79°F to 86°F); winters are slightly cooler, with temperatures ranging from 22°C to 27°C (72°F to 81°F).
Getting There & Around
George Town is served by the Owen Roberts International Airport. The airport is relatively small, with one runway and one terminal. Located just 2.5 km (1.6 miles) east of the city, tourists can catch fixed-rate taxis from the airport to the city centre.
The Grand Cayman Public Bus Transport service provides transportation in town. Car hires are easily accessible to tourists aged 21 years or over. Mopeds and scooter rentals are also available; the use of a helmet is required.
