Cataract Resort Cairo Guest Reviews
Have stayed at this hotel twice and have enjoyed both stays. Great pool with full services. Close to pyramids but remote from attractions in the city. Would stay again as you dont get hassled by tour operators.

Most certainly a 3+ star hotel. Pool area would rate as 4/5 stars. Nice gardens, rooms can be noisy if other guests above/below or either side. Location not great - if visiting Giza pyramids. But much better is visiting Saquarra, Abu Sir, Dashur etc. Taxi to and from airport - good as a ring road which avoids central Cairo traffic connects with this Hotel. Hotel price makes this an overall good value place to stay. Cons: Mosquitos (reception will provided insect repellant), lack of central location and easily accessible shops, pool not heated during cold winter months - so can't really use the best facility. Sauna, Gym all cost extra.

For the price the hotel was ok. Room didnt have a modern feel to it, with rough blue painted on edges. Pool was ok and resturants were ok. price could be cheaper for the rooms. Too many mosquitos but i think that was seasonal.
