Location
The Catalonia Las Vegas Hotel Tenerife Island is situated directly at the sea, in front of the Martianez Lakes and with views of Teide Mountain. Furthermore, the hotel is located in the very centre of the city of Puerto de la Cruz. One will find a taxi stand right opposite to the hotel, while the bus stop is just a 10 minutes walk with buses to any corner of the Island.

I arrived at this hotel with my young daughter just the two of us on holiday. We thought we had booked a 4 star hotel we were excited. Oh boy what a dissappointment. the staff on reception unable to speak any English no greeting, no help with luggage. Carperts on stairs threadbear. Restuarant toilets, soap holder broken. Beds like boards, very noisy surrounded by nighclubs/casino's. Not a relaxing vibe at all either in the Hotel or outside. Next door too a well known fast food chain opposite casino and nightclub. Not suitable for a family holiday young children or early teenagers. This hotel is very dated stuck in 1970's there is nothing 4 star about it . We stayed one night and checked out. holidays providers need to check the star rating of these hotels and offer a realistic description of what you are buying. needless to say I am looking for a full refund.

The best thing about this hotel was it's location since you can walk to just about everywhere. From the exterior it looks alittle run-down and not a 4 star rating but the rooms are clean with minimal toiletries. Internet access on lobby is 1 Euro for 15 minutes. Buffet breakfast didn't change in the 8 days we were there but they did offer a pack breakfast on the days that we left before 7am on tours.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location and balcony view were perfect. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only problems i had were: 1) The TV had no English speaking channels ( CNN or Sky for example) 2) The doors to balcony could be double-glazed to keep noise from discos out at night.
