Location
Castle Apartments is on Riddles Court, close to the Royal Mile in the heart of Edinburgh. During free time, visitors can watch performances at Festival Theatre Edinburgh or catch sporting events at Tynecastle Stadium.

A small but comfortable and well-appointed apartment very well located at the top of the Royal Mile. Above a cellar bar but no noise evident at all when I stayed but maybe an issue in the hieght of summer. I wouldn't stay here if I were a lone female traveller because it is located down an alleyway in a deserted close.

Stayed in apartment on 3rd floor. Had to carry 2 suitcases up and down an old spiral staircase - very inconvenient! Did not sleep well either night - The most unconfortable bed I have ever slept in and noisy groups coming in at 3 a.m.! However, excellent location and spotlessly clean.

I stayed across Hogmanay so there was a premium on the price for the night of the 31st. The only downside would have been that it was on the 5th floor and there was just a spiral stone stairway. The location was absolutely brilliant though, about 100m from the Edinburgh Castle with a pub and cafe located conveniently 2m from the front door. The room was clean and comfortable, cutlery and crockery for two provided. The Lindor chocolates on arrival was a nice touch and a great way to replenish the energy spent getting to the apartment.
