Caravaggio Hotel Rome3 Stars
Via Palermo 73 Rome 00184
The Caravaggio Hotel is set in one of the most quiet streets in the historical centre of Rome and just 2 minutes away from the main railway station. Just around the corner from the hotel are the famous Opera House, the National art gallery and endless beauties of the Eternal city such as the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Barberini, Pantheon, Piazza Navona and the Vatican. Surrounded by some very good and typical Italian restaurants, bars, disco-pubs, and street-markets, the hotel gives you the opportunity to discover Rome in the best way during the day or by night, with good possibilities for entertainment.
Traditional elegance is blended with contemporary interior designs to create an elegant and comfortable ambience in all of the hotel's spacious rooms. The guest rooms offer comfort and relaxation with a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and first-class customer service.
The hotel does not have a restaurant.
The lobby is a perfect place to relax and meet friends or business delegates. During leisure, you can explore the city and its surrounding attractions.

A very pleasant surprise for a last minute reservation. Only one night since we were flying out early, but we wanted to stay longer. The room was great, with a balcony overlooking the street. Happy hour spread and a breakfast, which we weren't expecting. And an antique elevator!

Nice hotel with funky old elevator that takes you to the rooms. Convenient location only 5-10 min walk to termini station. Close to shops and restaurants. Comfy room with basic but clean facilities. Free wine and chocolates on arrival. Free wifi and breakfast. Friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay here. Staff were professional but for the most part, unfriendly. Breakfasts were good and breakfast staff were very friendly and the service was great (capacinos were excellent). Room was clean and within walking distance to many attractions. Short walk to underground for vatican, etc.

I did not like this hotel. It is not close to any of the sites and my room was unpleasant. No internet access in the room and cell phone or 3G network is not available in the room either.

Location was ideal... 10 min walk to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, ext ext.... Less than a 3 min walk from the U and bus stops. Staff was great, pointing out great "local places" to eat instead of the expensive garbage around the main attractions. Continental breakfast was wonderful, coffee made to order, fresh croissants, bread, cereal cheeses, quite enough to tide you over until a late lunch. The rooms were perfect in my opinion. Bigger than some I have stayed in. Not huge but enough room for you to sleep, shower and get dressed comfortably. Oh, and a happy hour every night, wine and light finger foods. Would most definitely stay here again.
