Simple great location and the room was clean and tidy. Price was great. Main suggestion is it could use a refurbishment as things are a little worn from age. Overall, I would certainly stay there again.

Really enjoyed staying in this hotel as a family of 6 visiting the theatre almost next door. Easy access to excellent restaurants and breakfast was also of good quality

I'd not recommend to any one. The hotel location is OK. However, it is over charge for the hotel condition. It's like a back packer accommodation. It's not for business and work people come to work work in Sydney for a few days.

This 2 stars hotel isn't too bad at all if you aren't a fussy couple . Room is quite comfortable to rest . Hotel is a few meters to Paddy Market & Chinatown . Value for money if you compare to others place where prices are unaffordable .

Disappointed overall with staff attitude and dirty carpets, the hotel needs to have a makeover. I've stayed several times before I don't if I would stay again and my family were very disappointed with the hotel. The staff at breakfast were good and so was the breakfast.

I have stayed here several times before we were very disappointed with our stay, The duty manager was very rude and argumentative his attitude was enough for us not want to stay there again. The hotel badly needs a makeover, the carpets were filthy, we had holes in our towels, cockroaches running around, the second night our bed wasn't made up the blanket quilt was just pulled up. The breakfast was very nice and the staff at the restaurant were polite.

The room allocated had a small window which adjoined the mall next door and had no curtains so a well lit room most of the night and noise, making sleeping difficult. requested a room change gave me another room moved all my bags in and then told my reception that the air conditioner did not work in that room, so another room change. The final room was adequate but the bathroom windows werew not double glazed so outside noise and the chill of the night came in. Average hotel in a good position to public transport

Stayed 3 nights .Pleasant and friendly staff on arrival . Room was small or cosy , Depends on how you look at it . Breakfast was included in the price , making it excellent value , considering the location . Would quite happily stay again .

Capitol Square is a good, reasonable hotel. Its location is near to transport & shops. The breakfast, which was included, was very average. The room was very pleasant except for a very noisy intermittent air conditioning system. I've stayed here previously & will do so again!

Check-in was prompt & efficient. Breakfast was a let-down but at the time was included. Good location for transport. A downside was a very noisy airconditioning system. On the whole I would recommend this hotel.

I wouldn't let a cockroach stay in this hotel! We viewed three different rooms, all of which were dank, crowded, dirty and worst of all had a pervading smell of mould and mildew. The last room we looked at was so bad, the skirting boards were rotten from being wet and there was mildew all over the window frames. It posed a serious health risk for anyone to stay there. I would highly recommend that no-one without a death wish should stay here. You'd be better off in the street or sleeping in the park. Rydges should be embarrassed to associate their name with this hotel.

Excellent location for Paddy's Market and Market City Mall and George St and getting in from the airport by train. Excellent breakfast included deal we got. Unfortunately at night we did not sleep well as it was hot and the air con was not working well and was very noisy. Got free WiFi for parts of the day which was good. Free inner city shuttle bus on George St and Monorail nearby. Room clean but bedding and decor well worn. Good flat screen TV. Overall great value for money for inner city hotel.

Great location but the accommodation itself was disappointing. The room was shabby with old fixtures, the bed was comfortable but the covers were old and worn looking, The room was moderately clean. The staff were uninterested in customer service to the point of rudeness.

The hotel itself was nice and neat. Nothing great, just basic rooms, basic bathroom etc. The room also had a little bar fridge, coffee and tea, kettle etc. The best thing about this hotel was the location, close to everything! Pubs, restaurants, Central station was within short walking distance. The staff were great, really friendly and helpful. The buffett breaksfast that was included was average, I've had better. Overall, the hotel's location was the best thing.

For a budget hotel it has a great location, friendly staff well located near china town and the capital theater for a one or two night stay or maybe longer it was great. a little road noise but not too much would stay again if after the budget range don't expect a 5 star for 3 star price and u will enjoy

The facility is old and the room is small. The grout between ceramic tile turned black years ago. It is next to China Town and 30 minutes walk from Circluar Quay.
