living here is very convenient for visiting most of the museums. and it is also close to union station and DCA. But the room has no coffee pot, and can't provide the hot water or coffee.

This is the worst accommodation I have seen since staying at hotels.. athe pictures on the Internet and Hotel website is all fake.. Windows are cracked, rooms dingy and old and barely cleaned... one man staff that doubles up as housekeeping, Room service and front desk. the online reviews are written by hotel staff not guest. This is a fraud and no one should be made to sleep in this slum.

I reserved this room because of the advertised rate. Only needed the room for changing purposes so I figured not a bad deal. The rate was correct but parking is ridiculous. So adding the two together, you'll end up spending the same as any other hotel in the area. No breakfast available and entire lobby, from the front door could use a good paint job. Who has dirty doors? Really? Check-in was supposed to be at 3:00. However, upon arrival was told that check-in isn't until 4:00 and I was welcome to have a seat until the next room became available.Service with absolutely no smile! First and last stay!!

Just completed a 4 night stay at this place and it was AWFUL! The description did not honestly describe the facilities, which didn't meet our exectations in any way. (Truth in advertising?) Location is horrible, in a depressed area that has a lot of police action 24/7. Imccurred $30-$40 per day in unexpected taxi charges to avoid walking to and from the metro, through a warehouse/houing project area that even locals described as unsafe. Not a place to stay if you want safety, access to sights or food. McDonald's is a block away, but otherwise no other off-site dining, coffee shops or convenience store options within six blocks. Better accomodations are available at reasonable prices just about anywhere else in DC.

Clean basic hotel for a trip to view the sites of Washington DC. Not too far to walk to the Mall where we took in the museums and Capitol. Good thing the breakfast was included in our hotel special -pastries, juice and cold cereals. Adequate but not worth paying extra for it. Rooms were comfortable but the walls and doors were thin and sounds traveled very well. The fact that we were there in the off season meant we didn't get too disturbed by noise. Windows were also noise transmitters so outside traffic was very audible. Wi-Fi was there if you could get it but not very stable. Pleasant staff. There was a free shuttle that would take you to the Mall and drop you off but would not pick you up. Good though - saved walking both ways. All in all, I would recommend this hotel again.
