My wife and I have stayed here many times over several years. We love the look of the older hotel. It is beautiful. The rooms and hallways may seem small by today standards but the charm is worth it. The staff are always excellent and the location cannot be beat. Be sure to take advantage of the parking vallet service. The Turner Room is nice for breakfast or a cocktail at night with a great window view of Illinois Avenue.

Fine hotel, everything was great!, Location was excellent, hotel was very nice, rooms were clean. Older building, so somethings you may not be used to like small elevators. Decor was nice/different. Shower was slightly small, and the toilet rocked. Some older reviews stated you received actual keys to your room, which actually was something that steered me to them, for the "charm" but now they give you just a regular card to swipe. Overall very nice, would definitely come back.

This hotel is a very nice hotel. The staff was very attentive. All in all, it was a good place to stay. The location was perfect - close to everything we needed. I'd stay here again.

The hotel was lovely. It was charming and historic and well kept. The staff was cheerful and extremely helpful. The restaurant was excellent, the food very good (we had salmon and Wellington trio). This restaurant was a lot less expensive than the other two steak restaurants on the same street. The in room booklet describing amenities listed a complimentary hot full breakfast but that was not the case so need updating. The desk help stated that they would honor the hot breakfast if booked before Oct. 1 but we did not. We had a few mini donuts at 930am (was told there would be pastries but none there). Other than that the stay was lovely and would recommend to anyone who wanted a historic stay downtown Indianapolis. Bonus is there is a walkway to Circle Center right in the hotel.
