24hr reception, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and clean room. Even with the ongoing renovations there were no issues. Have stayed with the kids before and it was just as good.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Rex. I was expecting a hotel that was well past its prime, and in truth it is a little tired. But if you can look past the slightly dated look you'll find a hotel that does the simple things very well. Comfy beds, Great location, Free parking, tasty fresh breakfast and friendly staff. For the price I don't think you'll find any better in the city. To summarise: If your in Canberra for a special occasion perhaps look elsewhere. But if your looking for comfort, value and a great location than this is the place!

Only 2 lifts is a bit of a drag at times , staff are great. Parking was not good. Breakfast was good. over all for the money I would return.

THE HOTEL IS IN NEED OF A HUGE UPGRADE GUEST SHOULD BE ADVISED BEFORE THEY BOOK THAT THERE IS A BUILDING SIGHT NEXT DOOR.
