St John's Climate
St John's climate is classified as a humid continental climate, with moderate summers and relatively mild winters. The average high temperatures peak at 20°C in July, with temperatures dropping to below 0°C from December-February. There is plenty of snow during winter, and it is the wettest and windiest city in Canada during the rest of the year.
Getting There & Around
You can get to town via the St John's International Airport, located only 10 km from the downtown area. You can drive to town by taking a ferry at North Sidney and then following the Trans-Canada highway eastward. Boats also come from Nova Scotia to the city.
The Metrobus public transit system provides buses in the city and surrounding areas. The downtown area can easily be explored on foot.
