Osoyoos Climate
Osoyoos has a semi-arid climate, meaning hot, dry summers and cold, snowy winters. Temperatures in July and August can hit 32°C, whilst night-time lows are around 14°C. Daytime temperatures remain pleasant through October, but fall dramatically in December to February, when highs are around 2°C. It starts getting warm again in late April or May.
Getting There & Around
The closest major airport is Kelowna Airport, about 150 km away. Greyhound operates a bus service from British Columbia cities, but most people get to Osoyoos by car. The town is about a five-hour drive from Seattle or Vancouver.
Osoyoos is small enough to be navigated by bike or on foot, and there are a few bike hire services around town. However, a car is needed to see some of the nearby sites, although guided wine tours are also available. There is no public transportation.
