Gatineau Climate
Gatineau has a mild temperate climate, with comfortable warm summers which peak at around 27°C. The cooler months from October to March can drop well below freezing, down to -10°C, spelling good news for cross-country skiers. Rainfall averages around 70 mm most months, with a very slight increase over summer.
Getting There & Around
Gatineau has its own airport, but it doesn’t cater to international flights, so most travellers choose to fly into the nearby Ottawa McDonald Cartier International Airport or take the two-hour journey from Montreal’s Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport.
Getting around the city is easy on any of the regular bus services, or if you’re up to the exercise, bicycling is a great way to see the city.
